I Got My Storm!

5th Blog Entry? -

Anyways, I got my storm! There wasn't a lot of snow, but it was windy so what snow had fallen was blowning around.. But the best part about it was that the power went out for like 2 hours. And yesterday the power was going on and off all morning and afternoon so we got the day off school....ahh...I love storms...

All This Jazz About The Storm, I Hope Its Worth It

Forth Blog Entry -

All this jazz about the storm, I hope its worth it...
Its raining out now, meaning the forecast is right so far. Its suppose to rain for a while then turn to snow late tonight. Its 2:05am now so I guess in another hour or so the snow will start falling. I'm all wounded up about this because I love snow, and this will be the first snow storm since last winter soo, I hope the storm comes leaving lots and lots of snow. But most likely I'll be disapointed. Ugh....

We Are Tramps

The lost art, the lost passion. We Are Tramps.

This is the weaving of our dream.

The tale has just begun.

Leather on our feet, and beards on our faces. We will live.

On the road and in the wood, live like only few have, live the life we want,

On this needed and extraordinary jaunt.

Howling at the moon in the mid-night, starving and fighting.

Through the Good, The Bad and The Ugly, We Are Tramps.

The Calm Before The Storm

3rd Blog Entry -

I'm feeling very dreay and lazy. Last night, was a late night. I didn't feel so good last night so I went to bed early, around 7:00pm, I think. But I woke up at around 10pm, I hate when that happens because its impossible for me to fall back asleep after already sleeping for a few hours. So I was up the rest of the night, looking through my books, trying to find something to keep me occupied. I managed to get asleep around 6:30am. I woke up again at 9:30 and said "Screw It, I'll stay up"... There is suppose to be a big storm coming in tonight with lots of snow, I hope the forcast is correct! But it hardly ever is. "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows". Its 4:13pm now and I just finished an early supper. Between the typing words I look out the window and see the trees across Gosse's River in the back of my house. They are very still, there is no wind. The Calm Before The Storm. I hope! I need to see a good snow storm...I see smoke flowing straight up into the air from a house on Bridge Rd., I know for sure now there is no wind. The weather network is showing a red scene, a Severe Weather Alert for my area of Newfoundland, St. John's and surrounding areas. Caramel smiles in yellow ties. Where you stand marks your place, your race.

The Green Fairy (Van Gogh's Green Lady)

Poem:

The green lady is spilt into the sea,
She is a fairy on this very day.
The sugar gives a light to this dream...
A painting ploted in a green haze of sweet summer,
And more fog is on its way.
She comes in the day time, she comes in the night,
But she leaves you with dreams of more.
You cut your ear in fear while under the green fairy's liquid spell,
A liquid, stary night for Mister Van Gogh.

Holiday Visit & Alexander Supertramp

Second Blog Entry -

I like this blogery. I can't wait until I get off school for the holidays. I can't wait to see my brother. He's coming in on the 23rd of December at midnight, so it will be Christmas Eve when we see him. I saw him twice this year which is very strange, and rare. This will be the 4th time I've seen him in 9 years. He lives in Toronto. I went to see him this summer, I loved it. Toronto is amazing and so were all his friends. Its like he has a close family up there. But its pretty sad that they have seen him more than me. Pisses me off sometimes, but he's gotta make a living. And everybody knows Newfoundland has no jobs...

But anyways, on to other things. I've been very, very interested in the story of Chris McCandless (Aka Alexander Supertramp). More than interested, almost obsessed with his story. Earlier this month I went to see the movie based on the book of the same name about Chris's story called "Into The Wild". It was the best movie I have ever seen in my life! I loved it, I sat at the end of it just after Chris's death scene in awe. It was amazing. Sean Penn, who directed it, did an amazing job, there was no cheese. Alexander Supertramp, the anti-hero, to end all anti-heroes... I have no money since I'm saving up for Christmas Shopping, so I couldn't buy a copy of the book so I downloaded the audio book, I rather read it then listen to it cause I tend to drift off into other thoughts (day dream), but It was fan-freakin'-tastic... Chris was born into an upper middle class family, his dad had worked with NASA in the '60s so they could always afford to give him what ever he wanted, but he decided not to accept gifts at a certain point in his life. But anyways, he finished High School went to University, got his degree, than took off. He left without a word, Into The Wild. He planned to go to Alaska and live off the land for a while. He gave away his $24,000 to charity and burned the little he had left, then tramped all over North America. Canoed into Mexico illegally, hopped the rail, got beat up, and after 2 long years, made it to Alaska. In August '92 Christoper J. McCandless starved to death on the Stampede Trail, Alaska, USA. "S.O.S I need your help. I am injured, near death, and too weak to hike out of here. I am all alone, this is no joke. In the name of God, please remain to save me. I am out collecting berries close by and shall return this evening. Thank you, Chris McCandless. August?" - Chris McCandless, August, 1992.

The Seasons Are Changing

First Blog Entry-

The Seasons are changing, ever so slow. Its still Fall but I've grown tired of my favorite season. I want Winter to come. We are suppose to have higher than normal snow fall this year and I love snow. I love snow storms, blizzards. And I hope this will be a windy winter, blowing snow can mean a lot of things. It means that house doors and cars could get snowed in because of the drifts and that could mean that school could be cancelled....
I love sunsets, sunsets are so peaceful and beautiful. Theres nothing more beautiful than a sunset. The orange, pink and fading blue to black. A sunset, on top of a hill, in fall, deep in the wood. "Isn't it good, to be lost in the wood"
